Welcome back to Oosh! Music blog!

After a short break, we're back to continue giving you the best in nothing but the best house music! We've ditched the rating system, so now it's just us providing you with nothing but our favourite tracks circuling the EDM right now. Enjoy!

Otto Knows - Million Voices

Haven't really heard anything from Otto Knows since his remix of Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek, but WOW this is just brilliant. Perfect progressive house!

Claptone - Cream

Here's a great smooth deep house track from Claptone. Enjoy!

David Jones - Heya

One of my favourite tracks at the minute.. Brilliant energetic production from David Jones

Azuli Miami '12 - Mixed by David Jones

Azuli Miami ’12 marks the official start to 2012’s clubbing calendar with two very different mixes from Italian DJ/producer David Jones. David is at the forefront of an onslaught of Italian talent also including Stefano Noferini and Alex Kenji, he is part of the dynamic Italian management agency Plus 39 and can be found pioneering his sound at some of the biggest venues and festivals around the world

Bonus mix one continues where Azuli left off in 2011, straight up house, funky bass lines and an impressive selection of talent including Robbie Rivera, Stefano Noferini, Alex Kenji, Kaskade and Stonebridge.

Bonus mix 2 tackles the harder, ‘progressive’ sound dominating dance floors from eastern Europe to the USA. The relentless energy of Afrojack and Nicky Romero feature alongside house royalty Bingo Players, Tim Mason, Michael Calfam and mafia man Axwell.

The package is made extra sweet by a string of unreleased tracks and remixes from his very own Plus 39 label as well as a specially commissioned remix of Kris Menace – Discopolis.

Mixing Azuli Miami ’12 and playing during the WMC at the glamorous Nikki Beach Hotel, David Jones has taken Miami by the scruff of the neck this year; make sure you don’t miss out of what one of the scene’s biggest trend-setters has to offer.

Moguai - Mpire

Really liking this big room electro progressive track from Moguai on the mau5trap label. Plenty of strong heavy synths with some interesting partys in the build ups ranging from housey elements to dubstep elements. Cool track!!

Tasi - The Speaker

I'll leave you with this massive techy tune from Tasi! Cool Oliver $-style vocals with an uptempo tech-tribal beat and a sick bassline. It's seriously everything I could ask for out of a tech house tune.

OUT NOW!

Northbrook - Move Your Body (Tommie Sunshine Remix)

As an original track, I really didn't rate this, but this remix turns this into a whole new track. Love the 07-09 style stabs with a typical new skool funky house beat. As a remix - big fan! I guess the vocals might grow on me eventually..

OUT NOW!

John Dahlback - Soldier

This track is a heavy weight in its category and made solely to destroy those dancefloors suitable for the most energetic crowds on this planet. Stompin' beats and some characteristic Dahlback elements turn 'Soldier' into a big tune! Not to everybody's taste, and we've certainly heard better from him, but still a cool electro tune.

Sandy Rivera & Haze - Faith (2012 mix)

FREE DOWNLOAD

Sandy & Haze worked an album in early 2007 where "FREAK", "DEEPER" & "ESCAPE" had come from. The boys decided to do a mix of the tune he did with G-Club and put that mix in the album, but the album never developed and Sandy just put out singles on Blackwiz starting with FREAK which became a massive tune. This mix of FAITH has never been released or given to anyone. Sandy played it at the closing party for Renaissance at The Cross and the crowd loved it.

Will Clark & Dave Rose - If Yo' Ready feat. Mr Eyez

I have to admit Flamingo Recordings is one of my favourite labels at the minute, and this track doesn't disappoint. Funky beat and bassline, typical house grooves thrown in with some interesting vocals. Overall a pretty good track.

OUT NOW!

Sam Paganini - Self Control

From the 'Prisma' EP, this release on the Drumcode label from Sam Paganini is sure to get tech-heads moving around the world. Perfect bassline mixed with that typical techy beat.. you gotta love dark techno.

Funkagenda - Shinjuku (Michael Woods Remix)

When it comes to Progressive House, I am a huge fan of Michael Woods and his unique sound. His take on Funkagenda's 'Shinjuku' is no exception. It has slightly more of an punchy electro sound to it than his usual stuff, but still a cool production from this up-and-coming producer.

OUT NOW!

Matt Lange - Avalon

Interesting track from the anjunadeep label, I guess you could call this Minimal Progressive? Not my personal taste but I recommend a listen!

David Jones - Gigolo

For someone who's not a huge fan of electro house, I am absolutely loving this! Such a weird but wonderful production, from the odd whistling in the breakdown to the heavy bassline which is something rarely seen from David Jones. It works though, genius!

OUT NOW!

Tonite Only - Haters Gonna Hate (Nicky Romero 'Out of Space' Remix)

Interesting production from 2011 breakthrough producer Nicky Romero. Very nice take on the original from Tonite Only.

OUT NOW!

David Berrie - Behind The Front

One of the best tech house tracks we've heard in a while. Awesome bassline and groove. Very trippy funky stuff! Brilliant production from New Yorker David Berrie.

Defected In the House compilation: Kevin Saunderson In The House

The legendary/pioneer,  DJ/ producer, and Techno innovator from Detroit Kevin Saunderson (part of Inner City) is back!

Kevin Saunderson In The House is his first club mix compilation since 1996, one that sees him combine classic personal productions, exclusive new releases, re-interpretations of old favorites’ and the hottest house around into two mixes perfectly representing his unmistakable sound, including his latest single with Inner City – Future.

Kevin
"Putting the record together was about getting a good selection compiled with tracks that I play and tracks that I don’t get the chance to play as much” says Saunderson. I play at a lot of house, tech house and techno events. I like some deeper sounds too.

"It’s definitely not the first mixed CD I have ever done, but it could maybe be the best one I’ve done. It’s a different time and there is a lot of music out too, I am mostly impressed by this one when I listen to it, its spot on and it worked really well”

Marco Bars - Il Gambero (Marco Valery Remix)

Great beat, great bassline, great build up.. Very interestingly produced, cleverly using the parts from the original track to create a deeper and more techy version. Overall a TOP remix from friend of the blog Marco Valery.

Storm Queen – Look Right Through Remixed!

Jamie Jones, MK, Dimitri from Paris, Art Department and Aeroplane step forward to remix Storm Queen's essential Look Right Through. Following an acclaimed brace of releases in ‘Look Right Through’ and 2011’s follow-up ‘It Goes On’, Morgan Geist’s reincarnation as Storm Queen can surely be seen as nothing short of triumphant. Now, Defected have lined up an intimidating selection of artists to present their own interpretations of the debut Storm Queen release.

Here's a preview of the Aeroplane remix, our favourite here at Oosh!

Tim Mason - Anima

Wow this really is a let down.. I loved Tim Mason's breakthrough track 'The Moment' but this one's a little bit of a let down. It's a decent melody until you hear it looped five million times and it just gets a bit annoying. I was excited while listening to the introduction, and I even liked the first minute or so of the track but the breakdown and build up was a let down, followed by what seemed to be just a continuous repeat of the same lukewarm melody. Not a fan I'm afraid.

Swedish House Mafia & Knife Party - Antidote

I suppose I had to post this eventually..! I've never been a fan of the dubstep sound, nor a massive fan of electro, so it's hard for me to be completely unbiased, but there's definately something about this track I like. Not my favourite track by SHM by any means, but a pretty cool collaboration and a very unique track that is sure to do well not just in the dance music world but commercially as well.

Mr Jean Louis - Sensuelle (The Cube Guys Remix)

Oh my lordddd this is brilliant! The Cube Guys really have impressed me recently with their extremely HOUSEY stuff. They've constantly been releasing great tracks over the past few months. The original of this track is an awesome progressive track, and The Cube Guys have made it that little bit more funky, which is what we love to see. Awesome work from the relatively unknown Mr Jean Louis and of course The Cube Guys.

OUT NOW!

Robbie Rivera - Roxy

Always been a big fan of Robbie Rivera and his very unique productions. This one seems to be very similar to Avicii's stuff.. Maybe a little too cheesy for my personal taste, but definately will appeal to a big audience, and already doing well on the Beatport Top 100 at #7!

Soul Central - Strings of Life (Supernova Remix)

Very nice.. taking an absolute classic house track and making it just that little bit more funky! Brilliant bassline and very similar to the original, therefore not losing that old skool vibe to it. Pretty good!

Joe Darston - The Promise

Feel good, melodic Electro! You'd be crazy not to love this awesome new track from Joe Darston...

OUT NOW!

Nima Nesta, Aysan - Opus 44 (Instrumental Mix)

I am definately in a melodic and feel good track mood today. This awesome production from Nima Nesta & Aysan is everything you look for in a progressive track. Brilliant build up leading to the perfect melodic drop to lose your mind to. Love it.

Parachute Youth – Can’t Get Better Than This

This comes from the debut EP of Australian duo Parachute Youth and I absolutely love it. Very different to the usual stuff I put on here but this is just brilliant. An indie-meets-house impeccable sound which is ever so catchy.

I am definately feelin' the new genre Indie House

OUT NOW!

Michael Woods - Full Access

He started out as resident of Ministry of Sound London only a year and a half ago, and now Michael Woods is producing absolute club bangers like 'No Access' and now 'Full Access', both following a very similar structure and both SERIOUSLY impressing progressive house music lovers worldwide. Plenty of synths, plenty of great build ups and breakdowns, and of course that hands-in-the-air moment Woods is so known for. Awesome track.

OUT NOW!

Nicky Romero - Toulouse

Hi all, sorry for being away for so long. I took a break from blogging over Christmas and I have just moved back to UK for a while so I haven't been around much to blog! Anyway, I'm back on track and kicking off with the new Nicky Romero track!

Toulouse was highly anticipated after Romero released a couple of teasers online, and people seem to be loving it. I absolutely love the synthy piano build ups and chords, followed by that massive drop that you really don't expect. Bingo Players must have had this off Nicky weeks ago as I heard them play it at Ministry of Sound on the 10th Dec. Quality song, very interesting and great production from the young dutchman. Maybe not something you could listen to at any time (I think you really need to be in the zone for this one), but still a great track.
